A short portrait session is perfect for authors, actors, corporates or anyone who needs a snappy headshot.
When Tunbridge Wells based author Sarah Patten set about launching her first book, she knew that having a professional headshot of herself for the inside cover was essential.
Sarah opted to have a shoot at her own home as it suited her schedules and the session could flow at a relaxed pace in familiar surroundings.
On arrival, Chris looked for the best options and areas for shooting and suggested that he work with available light instead of studio lighting. A natural look would be achieved which would be perfect for Sarah’s book.
The session was a couple hours long which enabled Sarah to try on several outfits which gave Sarah more variety in the final set of images.
Sarah has a stunning house with big windows providing a natural soft light. Chris used these to his advantage – giving Sarah a twinkle in her eye and enabling the background to fade to black.
You’ll find her book on Amazon – “What to feed an Asperger”.
